Healing afterward

Whatever you feel, you remain worthy of compassionate care.

You may feel relieved, sad, numb, angry, uncertain—or several things at once. Whatever you are feeling, you deserve support without judgment or assumptions.

Heart

Emotional care

Grief is not a verdict, and relief does not make you uncaring. A qualified counsellor can help with persistent distress, coercion, anniversaries, prior trauma or a wanted pregnancy ended after diagnosis.

Meaning

Faith-sensitive care

Spiritual conflict deserves care without condemnation. Grace does not trivialise loss or harm; it refuses to let shame become your permanent identity.

Grief is not a verdict

There is no single emotional story.

Large studies report that many participants feel relief and believe their decision was right for them, while distress may lessen over time. Other research and personal accounts describe persistent grief in some people, particularly where there was pressure, difficulty deciding, poor support, prior mental-health concerns or termination of a wanted pregnancy.

We do not diagnose “post-abortion syndrome,” promise regret or deny grief. We listen to what the experience means to you.
